In the Highsnobiety office, we’ve long debated which New Balance pairs are the best, and we’re no closer to coming to a conclusion. New Balance took the already attractive 550s, put a collar on them, and gave us these 650. It’s a classic to style, whether it’s warm with shorts or cold with jeans stacking on them. We already know from brief chats over Slack that the 1906R is a divisive silhouette but I just can’t get past the fact that I love it. The collaboration with Thisisneverthat really brought the style to my attention, and New Balance has since started to push the silhouette with new colorways. It’s a grey New Balance, so you know from square one that it’s a winner. I always favor the 993 because of the slightly chunkier sole and the small “N” logo that makes it look so clean.
