A football club started during lockdown now has over 60 children from Belfield, Firgrove and the Cray enjoying the sport.
Bing Liu moved to Rochdale during lockdown where he started a football club and two summer camps under Hope Community Rochdale, a partnership between Church Army and the Diocese of Manchester.
He said: “I saw the kids on the streets, and I felt I need to do something for them. Although I am not a football coach myself, I found some coaches who share the same heart to put together this football club on the Cray estate.”

Now over 60 boys and girls between the ages of five and 17 have registered and enjoy playing the beautiful game.
Bing added: “We play football with them, we share laughter, and we feed them. What we want to achieve is to help them to dream big, to be full of hope and happiness, and to be healthy and not fall into wrong hands.
“It has been an amazing journey to see positive change in their lives.”
