Richard Cannard has been appointed as the Head of Wealth Distribution for HSBC across the Channel Islands and Isle of Man as part of the Bank’s ongoing strategy to evolve its Wealth and Personal Banking business.
Richard (pictured) has been at HSBC for over 31 years, having previously held the role of Area Director, HSBC Expat, in which he led the UK and Europe Region. Prior to that, Richard held the role of Head of Premier and Wealth, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. He’s also previously held responsibility for the Regulated Risk and Transformation teams, overseeing changes in how the Bank provides financial advice to customers in the Islands and the UK.
In his new role, Richard will be responsible for the Premier and Wealth teams across the Islands, ensuring that customers are provided with the best service whilst further developing HSBC’s wealth proposition to meet the ever-increasing needs of customers.
Richard succeeds Simon Lidbury who was recently appointed to Market Head for International Clients, Global Private Banking.
